Warm weather programming at Niagara Falls and Niagara Gorge is now available. All programming is subject to change. Unless noted otherwise, registration is suggested but not required, and participation is first-come-first-served.

  • DIY Birdhouses

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park – Education Center
    When: Saturday, April 12, 2025; 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM

    Join a park naturalist in a hands-on birdhouse building program. We will talk about some common backyard birds, their nesting preferences and their importance. Then participants will get the opportunity to assemble and take home their own birdhouse. Registration required at EventBrite.com.

  • Beginner Birding Walk

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Monday, April 21, 2025; 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM

    Join a park naturalist on a beginner friendly guided walk to learn the basics of birding, binoculars will be provided but attendees are welcome to bring their own as well! Registration required at EventBrite.com.

  • Woofs and Waterfalls

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Saturday, April 26, 2025; 10 AM – 11:30 AM

    Enjoy a leisurely walk with your dog and a park naturalist around Goat Island. It is not necessary to have a dog to participate, however, all dogs in attendance must be up-to-date on immunizations, leashed and under control. Registration required at EventBrite.com.

  • Trees in Bloom

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Saturday, April 26, 2025; 1 PM – 2:30 PM

    Enjoy a presentation on how to identify some key species in spring through flowers, buds, leaf scars and seeds. Then talk a walk to see these species out in the park. Registration required at EventBrite.com.

  • Invasive Species

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Sunday, April 27, 2025; 1 PM – 2 PM

    An introduction to invasive species found in WNY from terrestrial to aquatic and learn about the identification and history of our most commonly found invasive species. Registration required at EventBrite.com.

    When: Saturday, May 24, 2025; 2 PM – 3:30 PM

  • National Trails Day: Length of the Gorge

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Saturday, June 7, 2025; 9 AM – 4 PM

    Celebrate the 32nd National Trails Day with our annual Length of the Gorge Hike. Traverse the Niagara Gorge and follow the same path Niagara Falls took over the course of ~12,000 years as we hike from where it started to where it sits today! Ages 8 and older.   • Schoellkopf Anniversary Walk

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Saturday, June 7, 2025; 3 PM – 4:30 PM

    Stop in for a short presentation on the history behind the rise of the Schoellkopf Power Station and it’s collapse on June 7th, 1956. Then join our educators on a walk over to the ruins that remain in the gorge! Registration required at EventBrite.com.

  • Summer Solstice Tails on Trails

    Where: Niagara Falls State Park
    When: Friday, June 20, 2025; 5:30 PM – 7 PM

    Bring your furry friend on this casual walk to enjoy the longest day of the year! It is not necessary to have a dog to participate, however, all dogs must be up to date on immunizations, leashed, and under control. Registration required at EventBrite.com.
